On Wednesday evening of November 20, the Chinese Cultural Courier @ the Philippines, co-organized by Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, Federation of Filipino-Chinese Association of the Philippines and World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry, embarked upon a new journey through culinary tapestries, leading to appreciation and discovery of Chinese culture in a new format.
Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines HUANG Xilian attended the opening ceremony. Vice President Sara DUTERTE graced it with her video message. Also in attendance were Philippine Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Theresa LAZARO, Presidential Special Envoy to China Benito TECHICO, together with a number of around 400 officials and representatives from governmental authorities, local businesses and Chinese diaspora communities, etc.
The event featured some of China’s top chefs, who presented a delightful array of traditional dishes from different provinces, showcasing the artistry and depth of Chinese culinary traditions. Likewise, the spotlight was on the rich contributions and influence of Chinese cuisine around the world, especially in the Philippines.
